When we receive your engine, this is what we will do: disassemble, clean and carefully inspect your engine for damage and then contact you with parts and labor estimate. PLEASE NOTE: There is a nominal diagnostic fee of $30 (plus actual cost of return shipping) in the event your engine is not repairable or if repair cost exceeds the value of your engine.

All basic engine repairs include:

• Check crankshaft bearings and replace as needed.
• Check drive washer and replace as needed.
• Check crankcase for damage.
• Check cylinder condition.
• Check piston/rod for damage and wear.
• Check carburetor for damage / rebuild as needed.
• Check glow plug threads and cylinder head condition.
• Check and set cam timing (4-cycle only).
• Check and lap valves and valve seats (4-cycle only).
• Check and adjust valve clearance (4-cycle only).
